CONSIDERATIONS BEFORE BUYING A BABY COCKATOO

1. Large cage- Baby Cockatoos require as large a cage as possible. Minimum size should be 2' x 2' x 5' high for small       cockatoos and 2' x 3' x 5' for medium or large size cockatoos.

2. Lots of Toys- Baby Cockatoos enjoy many different toys in their home. They are avid chewers and will easily destroy many wood, rope or leather toys. Keep them interested!

3. Heavy duty cage bar construction- Make sure the baby's cage is sturdy enough to handle the strong beak of the Cockatoo. Check out our cage selection for ideas and information.

4. Needs Lots Of Attention- Baby Cockatoos are one of the most affectionate and loving pets you can own. Before buying a Baby Cockatoo make sure you have lots of time to spend with the bird.

5. Noise Factor- A Baby Cockatoo can be very noisy when it wants attention and love. We recommend reading several behavioral books to educate yourself on the special needs and requirements of this enchanting bird.

6. Dust- Baby Cockatoos have a white dust on their feathers and can sometimes be a problem for people with allergies or asthma.
